Looking for a successful SCBA compressor fill station narrative or two to get me in the right direction for this year. I have a successful SCBA & Turnout grant from a few years back, and a Rescue Equipment grant from last year (bought Res-Q Jacks & Turtle Cribbing) that I'm willing to share if it helps someone out![]()

Thanks!

i was awarded a complete compressor fill station last year. Make sure that you cover these points:
1. why you need it, such as; nearest department that has one is XX miles away and not always there,; have to make appointments with other departments to get filled;
2. without it you always have unfilled bottles after calls
3. inability to do live air training because you end up with empty bottles
4. you have air packs that can not be filled all the way because of pressure differences in the fill bottles and your packs
5. if you have truck mounted air for a ladder or tower, the ability to fill in house and not take the truck out of service for air
6. why having another fill site will benefit your neighboring departments.
of course, these are only a few items, make sure you use what applies to your department.

Thanks!
Some other points I've came across....
Proper fragmentation container
Ability to monitor CO and dew point
Clean air source (does air come from truck bay and not "outside", etc...)
