This is for 20 Permanent Full Time - Firefighter/Paramedics (Emergency Services Personnel).



Approved at last night's city council meeting.



No contracts, no term, no temporary, just permanent full time.



Full recruit process, Application Review, UofA Physical, OSCE, Interview, Medical, etc.



Also, this is posted for EMT/EMT-P but if you apply as an EMR they will consider your application if there are not enough quality EMT/EMT-P applicants.

If you apply as an EMR will you be expected to train up to EMT/EMT-P?

They will no longer require training up to EMT-P due to the short duration of our ambulance term here in St. Albert.

However you would be required to obtain your EMT. Whether or not they will fund it or not is unknown, however they have set president that they will pay you your regular wage while attending school or practicum.

Prefrence would be given to quality EMT and EMT-P's. However the Chief stated that if there are not enough quality applicants they would look at an EMR applicant.
