Hello all, new to the site!

I have been researching online as to what steps I need to take to become a firefighter. Something I should have done years ago. I'm in my early 30's and have reached a point in my life where I need to go after what I have wanted. Anyway I registered to this forum to learn as much as possible and to ask as much as possible to help me on my path. I live in south Fl (Miami) and I know it is extremely difficult to get hired down here but before I even get there I need to go to an academy. I have narrowed it down to 2 academies: Central Florida Fire Academy and Coral Springs Fire Academy. Now Central Fl seems to have a complete program package compared to other academies but Coral Springs is definitely closer. If anyone would like to inform me on these 2 schools I would appreciate it. I look forward to meeting great people and learning a great deal. Thanks in advance.
