Chief Gaines was a strong proponent of AFG as a contract employee with McKing. I would expect the same strong support in his position with USFA.

Congratulations to Chief Gaines on his selection. I know that he will do well in representing the fire service as part of USFA.

From News

Former Fairfax County Fire Chief Glenn Gaines has been appointed USFA deputy director.

Gaines takes over the slot vacated last year by Charlie Dickinson.

After leaving Fairfax County, Gaines was a consultant for DHS programs.

The 37-year fire service veteran assumes the duties as acting USFA administrator while the search for a permanent replacement for Greg Cade continues.

Dr. Denis Onieal, superintendent of the National Fire Academy, has been acting administrator since January.
