First off,
I have been a lurker on these boards for a while now and finally got around to joining. Great boards and alot of great info!!
Ok... Here is the deal. I was talking with some guys from another department and we got into the discussion on when/how to use roof ladders. They were saying it is required on all pitched roofs. I was under the impression that that it was more of a personal choice on when you should use, and even when i have it wasn't "both feet on laying down on it". I have searched the NFPA codes and i can't find anything on the requirements for using them except for quals in the fire academy. Anyone know of any standards requiring them?
