    Question Looking for downloadable videos

Hello! I'm looking for video to use on my next department training. There's a lot of good stuff on the net (You Tube, Fire Video Net, etc) but none of it can be downloaded and put in a powerpoint or other presentation. I need to find sources of actual video files (.mpg, .wvm, etc) to use during training. If anyone can help, please let me know! Thanks!!!

If you copy the url from youtube that appears on the right side by the video into www.mediconverter.org, you can select the output type....wmv...that you need. It is free and works great.

I stand corrected. You can also get a couple of add ons for Firefox so that you can do it directly from the webpage.

If you want a program that you can load on to your computer and download videos from YouTube, you can use save2pc light. This program can be found at:
    http://www.save2pc.com
The light version is free, but you are limited to only downloading from YouTube. I choose to down load in to the mpeg format so I can use either Windows Media Player, Real Player or Quicktime, which ever one happens to be available. There are several formats that you can choose to down load the videos on to your computer.

Great advice. I am not sure if the OP is familiar with Tube Finder, but I will post it here just in case.

It converts media files into mpg formats, especially for Youtube videos. I have used this program to add video tidbits in a few of my presentations.
