The Chief has asked me to look into applying for an AFG this year and I haven't ever done a grant application before. Could some of you vets email or post some tips? I would also be grateful if anyone still has old grant applications that were good or bad that they could email to me so I could see the things that make a good or bad application. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Mike Firemikeb@sbcglobal.net

The AFG is a big grant to jump into with a short amount of time till it opens. I think you can find a lot of useful information from the forums. Also you might want to put more information out as to what your department might be looking for grant funding to purchase. Also a good thing to look it to is getting to one of the grant seminar that Chief grant put on. Kurt Bradley put on a great seminar with a wealth of information for what you have to pay.
