    Default Tax Day Tea Parties

If you are like me, fed up with the excessive cost of taxes and government then here is a chance to voice your opinion.

    Tax Day Tea Parties

This site is really slow from all of the traffic. I suspect there will be a large turn out for this. I know of several who are going to Albany.

Well, people certainly have an unfettered right to express their opinion. Out of curiosity, I went to the website (It did load up quicker then i thought) and found out its a partisan website, so out the window went its credibility.

Do you know of any websites that have no connection to any mainstream political party? That's really the only way you'll find the truth.

Its good that they are holding these rallies; for the economy it'll help as people spend money on printing signs, handbills, transportation, food and perhaps lodging, so its not a total loss. I always believe that some good comes from demonstrating in these instances. Every little bit that people spend helps. I hope they have good weather in all the locations, its certainly no fun demonstrating in the rain/snow. No use having to go to work on Monday having a cold or the flu. Enjoy your day in Albany and be Leary of overzealous conservatives; I'll look for you on the news at 11.

Every issue is partisan. Allowing illegals into the country is partisan. Allowing Gay marriages is partisan. Allowing the government to run your life is Partisan. People are simply tired of the government waste, bureaucracy, and the heavy tax load they place on the everyday working man. I suspect turn out might be light because most of the people who would be protesting have jobs and will be at work, unlike the Million man march.

Or it could be light because other than a couple wackjob moonbats, normal people realize these events have little to zero impact.

What i'm looking for is a website that has no ties to any political party who can give the straight facts with putting any political spin on it. I'm sure you'll admit that no matter what party it is, they'll put their spin on it.

Well for once we are seeing a protest coming form the right instead of from the left. Look at the wackjobs at the G-20 summit, they all protested for things that were right off the liberal platform. This is at fact finding mission or any science. These are hard working Americans telling their government they have had enough of their BS programs and taxing everything that moves. These are people who are telling government NO MORE SPENDING. By the time I am done with all of the taxes and fees I have about 50% of my check left. It's time to stop the maddness.

You have to help me out here. What exactly are you looking for?

This is without a doubt a partisan issue of socialism vs. freedom. It isn't like this global warming farce. Proponents of anthropogenic global warming put up highly partisan web sties based in fuzzy science. Luckily, these political types are offset by the scientific community, which the mainstream ignores. Pro AGW sites are run by environmentalist and those with a political agenda. The anti AGW sites are run by scientist and researchers. In the case of AGW if one listens to the experts they realize it is a farce and there is no need to tax carbon, thus raising the price of energy and sending the country into another depression. You may have noticed that when gasoline got over the $4 a gallon mark the economy really tanked.

What I'm looking for is a web site that has the facts about the taxes which has no ties to the Democrats/Republicans/Libertarians/Conservatives/Liberals.

Somewhere out there is a web site put up by an organization that takes no political position eitherway and just presents the facts as they actually are without putting their spin or opinion on it. That way the average joe can sit down, review the facts and come to his/her own conclusion.

Either way i'll continue to look for one and if i find one, i'll post the link here.

Good luck with that. I might suggest using Google scholar as a search. The only fact I need is the bottom line on my paycheck after getting raped by the government. Then see how it is spent to support people to lazy to work as well as the numerous unnecessary things that are bought or done by the government.

I do not care to share my personal political views on here, as I am a representative of Firecom, but if you want a less partisan website for news related inforamtion, you may want to check out websites like the BBC, Sky News and/or Al-Jazeera for perhaps a less slanted point of view than CNN or Fox News..etc.

Nothing stopping you from moving to a country that taxes less if you're feeling so oppressed.

That's the great thing about freedom.

Good luck. That might be a harder find than the Holy Grail.

Speaking of political spin, here's a couple more forms to watch out for - they're a little sneakier. Bias by selection is almost unavoidable, but some news sources abuse it to make partisan points. It's essentially the decision by a news agency on what stories to run and what stories not to; even if you don't spin them in the writing, a lot of stories by their very nature are beneficial to one partisan group over another. It's easy to select those stories which benefit your favorite partisan ideology and provide a political spin without it even being apparent. The other that I've seen a lot of lately (especially out of the New York Times and Washington Post) is providing equal representation to unequal viewpoints. We wouldn't logically give an astrophysicist and a flat-earther equal space in a newspaper article - if anything the astrophysicist would get the whole shebang with a footnote towards the end mentioning that some flat-earthers still believe that the world is flat. When reporters are too lazy to present competing viewpoints with their actual merits, they commit this very same fallacy and I've seen quite a bit of it lately.

We had one here until the liberals screwed it up. Time to get back to the great country we once were.

BTW, enjoy the freedom while yo have it, once King Obama and Queen Pelosi are through there will be none.

So these "tea party" things are about trying to have Americans represented in the British parliament again, right? No taxation without representation... oh, wait.

I believe that any American citizen should be given the choice to cease paying any and all taxes. No income tax, sales tax, nothing.

However, you are not to use any public entities that tax dollars provide. No roads, no air travel, no trains, no television, no internet. No USDA inspected food or FDA regulated medicine. No police protection.

Enjoy your little Ayn Rand fantasy in your tin shack somewhere in Appalachia
