I just wanted to post this information. I am the new Director for the Fire Service Administration Degree at Eastern Oregon University. This is what we call a 2 + 2 program. You transfer in when you have complted your first two years at a community college. We are a state university and fully accredited. We have the degree totally online, we also offer hybrid courses in Portland, Oregon and one week courses there as well.
I realize the fire depatartments have budget problems and one way they deal with it is to cut back on education benefits. We have an answer to that problem. Any new student who transfers in can qualify for one of two grants they do not have to pay back. If you have a GPA of over 3.0 you can get a transfer scholarship and if you do not we have a grant for $400 per term for 3 terms. You only have to attend 1/2 time to recieve either of these. We have no out of state tuition. Our per credit hour cost is $135.00.
Contact me if you want more information. My phone is 541-962-3531 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
