Default What have been the funding caps on PPE?

I can't find my notes on what has been the funding limit for Turnout Coats, Pants, Helmet, Hood, Gloves and Boots.

I got reduction notices (in 2008) for the following pieces of equipment (the amount listed is the amount to which I was reduced): Hoods, $40; Gloves, $50; Goggles, $50; TIC, $10,000; SCBA $5,250; Boots $300.

I don't know what the coat and pants limit is but if anyone knows that, it would be really helpful.

Thats odd we were awarded 6500 for our scba. It was listed as SCBA--30 minutes with face piece-With extra bottle. We were reduced to 3250 for a complete RIT pack and only one per station.

I'd asked for $7,000 per SCBA--I listed 45 min bottles with facepiece and spare bottle. They sent me a reduction to $5,250.

Also, at our AFG Workshop this past March, the FEMA rep actually used the SCBA's as an explain of a "top" AFG price--he said it was $5,250.

Anyway, thanks for the heads up on your $6,500--I'll be sure to ask for $7,000 per pack again.

We had a reduction to $900/coat but $750 seemed ok for pants.
