I have never seen this before, but what an awesome video. The driver running the red lights is pretty outragous. Check it out and turn up your speakers...Bou
Ferrari run in Paris.
On an August morning in 1978, French filmmaker Claude Lelouch mounted a gyro-stabilized camera to the bumper of a Ferrari 275 GTB and had a friend, a professional Formula 1 racer, drive at breakneck speed through the heart of Paris early in the morning . The film was limited for technical reasons to 10 minutes; the course was from Porte Dauphine , through the Louvre, to the Basilica of Sacre Coeur. No streets were closed, for Lelouch was unable to obtain a permit. The driver completed the course in 8 plus minutes, reaching nearly 140 MPH in some stretches. The footage reveals him running real red lights, nearly hitting real pedestrians, and driving the wrong way up real one-way streets.
Upon showing the film in public for the first time, Lelouch was arrested. He has never revealed the identity of the driver, and the film went underground. If you haven't seen this before it is a classic, if you have seen it I apologize, but it's still a classic. Turn on your sound and enjoy

Hate to be a stick-in-the-mud, but I've seen high speed vids before and this one looks a little suspect. Great sound but the ground speed doesn't seem to match. Googled the 275 and it tach's out at 171 mph.

I did that in 2007*... but my ride was a double decker open topped tour bus and the Metro... and took a little longer!

Thats actually a famous video. The guy driving was simply known as "The Driver" It is spoken about at great length in the book "The Driver" by Alexander Roy. The roots of the Gumball rally, the Bullrun (not the stupid show but the actual Bullrun) are all from this one video. You also have to remember that it is an old video. No camera tricks like today. No speeding the video up to make it more dramatic. This is the real deal.
