If we are asking for nozzles and hose adapters under the request details questions #8 that ask: generally this equipment under this grant will?
I am not sure which one to check, do nozzles and adapters have any statutory status???
Thanks everyone and good luck

NFPA has been adopted by DHS as law related to grant and homeland security preparedness, so they are statutory requirements. Hose is 1961, hose testing & care 1962, connections 1963, nozzles 1964, appliances 1965.

Doesn't 1901 also spell out minimum equipment (including hose, nozzles and adapters) based on the apparatus type?

What does NFPA say about rescue tools? I am having the same question as to the compliance question. Would rescue tools be mandatory compliance. Thank you for the help in advance.

Tools are made to 1936, 1670 is tech rescue training and ops. Obviously not the right title for the 2nd one but that's the gist.

Is there a compliance of some sort for foam & proportioners? Currently, I don't have any foam on my trucks, but would like to try and get on the AFG grant.

What do smooth bore nozzles fall under. I would guess they fall under NFPA 1965 as an appliance? They aren't spray nozzles as defined in NFPA. I would guess because they are basically a shutoff and a tip they would be an appliance?
