Obama to take aim at credit card abuses
Money quote:
Making the assumption there are a lot more folks like idiotboy who don't understand that carrying a balance is bad. Claiming others should take personal responsibility but accept none themselves. We need to do things to stop the marketing of credit in ways that addict people to it," Summers said in an interview on the NBC television talk show "Meet the Press."
Summers, director of the White House National Economic Council, said the administration is concerned about practices that result in consumers being "deceived into paying extraordinarily high rates that they wouldn't have paid if they knew they were getting themselves into."

Starting a whole new thread for the sole purpose of making personal attacks.
The conservatives on this board are really itching you.The American people will never knowingly adopt Socialism. Hey moonbat. I'm not the one who lived beyond his means and maxxed out his credit cards and then went BK. That's your buddy idiotboy.

Its all part of the ADHD.
Symptoms:- Impulsiveness: acting before thinking of consequences, jumping from one activity to another, disorganization, tendency to interrupt other peoples' conversations.
- Hyperactivity: restlessness, often characterized by an inability to sit still, fidgeting, squirminess, climbing on things, restless sleep.
- Inattention: easily distracted, day-dreaming, not finishing work, difficulty listening.
Here is some info for you as well Adult ADD / ADHD
And not that is really any of your business, but it was actually diagnosed. At least now that I know the issue, I have managed to control somethings. Although I still struggle with the impulsiveness, but a lesser scale. At least when talking a take a moment to think before I speak.
I am however flattered that you wold create a thread just about me. Thanks.

ScareCrow57,
For those who are too lazy or just plain incapable of earning sufficient money for themselves, the easiest way to avoid bankruptcy is to marry someone who's salary places them in the top 5% of income earners. The American people will never knowingly adopt Socialism. Gonz, in moonbat's Bizarro World it's better to marry someone who has nothing and no potential.

I thought you would appreciate it since you've whined incessantly about how you were taken advantage of by those mean and awful credit card companies. How you believe others should take responsibility for their actions but how you ducked yours by going BK.

Hey SC, personally I think its time to end personal attacks like this. I realise there are some on here who couldn't carry on any kind of a discussion without name calling and insults, but it certainly does nothing for either side to add to any kind of intelligent or informative discussion. Why don't some of you grow up and put some valid points on the table?

George, are you paying attention. Moonbat believes you're lazy and incapable of earning sufficient money for yourself.

You know as well as I do, and the Obama administration admits as well, that they are nothing but a bunch of crooks. It is you who constantly harps on the ills of Wall Street and the bankers and how they all need to be owned by the government.
Unfortunately, the only people who get help from our government are the big corporations and the poor lazy welfare slobs. We need to take our HHS budget and cut it in half. That would be a good start to fixing things. We could follow that with sending the illegals home, and while we are at it, here illegally, no benies for you.

I've never said they should be owned by the government. I've stated they should be regulated to prevent the mischief we've seen just about every ten years that require billions in bailout funds in order to avoid a collapse of those institutions that causes economic turmoil.

Would that include funding for research to find the reason for ADHD and newer meds to control it?We need to take our HHS budget and cut it in half."The education of a firefighter and the continued education of a firefighter is what makes "real" firefighters. I think if you actually look at the whole situation that the USA is getting into, the country could well be bankrupt technically in a few years. I am irrevocably against borrowing money from your children and grandchildren to pay for the parents stupidity. Sort of like using your kids college fund to buy a new SUV

I'm with you on that. Japan tried this approach in the 1990s and has crippled their economy. Germany did it in the 1920s and it failed there. The theory is that the German economy failed so miserably, followed by the inflation form stimulus spending that the people were unhappy and this gave Hitler the impetus he needed to gain power. We really need a historian in the white house to help our presidents understand history.
