Hello all, My department is looking into the auto crib type cribbing for vehicle stabilization. I personally do not like them but I am hoping to find some pros and cons on these. If you have has success or failures I would like to hear about it.

Adjustable Step Chocks
If you are looking at adjustable step chocks take a look at the rapid stair from ResQTec. They are a little larger to store but offer you more stabilization options. After evaluating these we included them in a local grant project to replace our current wooden step chocks.

These are a two piece step chock comprised of a large wedge block and a saddle wedge. These can be used with the rapid stair and saddle wedge as an adjustable step chock. This gives you the option of easily adjusting them if needed during an operation. The main part of of the rapid stair can also be used a large wedge which works great for initial side resting stabilization on larger autos, vans and SUVs prior to placement of buttress stabilization. They also work real nice for roof resting vehicles with initial placement as large wedges under the C pillar at the roof line prior to setting your struts.
