Currently I am a firefighter for the Dept of Interior and thinking of switching to Dept of Defense. Currently I am a GS-5/0462 and applied for and received an offer of employment but get know where when I inquire with the HR rep regarding the Pay. Does anyone have any information about the pay scale. Its a 72 hr. work week...also, hows does that 72 hour schedule work...i understand its 24/24. Do you get a "kelly" day every so many shifts or is it just 24/24 for the rest of your career. I know some places you work a certain amount of shifts and then you get a period of days off.
thanks for your help
