I recently made it to an orla board but maybe Im not ranked high enough to get a chiefs interview depending on openings. I am a member of the national guard and I have never been deployed. I do not qualify for veteran preferance because I am not active duty military or have not been deployed. I am wondering if anyone else has ran into this and if they know of a way around it. Those points would really help.

Well it's simply that, you're not a veteran, yet. That doesn't mean you can't draw on your expirencies that you've had with the military and use them to enhance your answers.
