Default Are you supposed to agree or disagree to these personality questions?

"It is important to be careful because the world is a dangerous place and trouble could be around any corner"

    "Nice guys finish last"

"I worry about getting injured in a car accident while I am driving"

There is no "right or wrong" answer to these questions, the people/person putting them towards you, obviously for personality testing is trying to see what your answer is,

they are just trying to gauge if you are confident and out going to an extent, or whether you are likely to hide behind the scenes.

Yes, there are right and wrong answers. I just had a massive amount of points deducted from my general knowledge score. I went from the upper 90's, down to a 74 and out of contention for a job.

I answered strongly agree or strongly disagree to every question. Epic fail.

i was always told to never use the "strongly" for these. On the tests i have taken they were pretty much the same questions just had the words changed around some and never picked the stongly agree or dissagree seems to work for me. Sry bout your test best of luck!

Though you may think you have answered right or wrong, there cant be a right or wrong answer about what someone thinks is important or less important, from what you have said, your answers dont quite fit with what the department was looking for. hardly a wrong answer, just not a complete match.

All of these should have an answer somewhere in the middle.

For instance: "I worry about getting injured in a car accident while I am driving"

At the extremes, if you constantly worry about getting injured in a car accident, you may have nervous issues, and you probably won't handle responding code 3 with a 40klb fire engine in traffic very well. If however you never think about getting hurt in a car accident, they may think that you are reckless and believe yourself to be invincible, which could lead to accidents and injury.

Same sort of thing goes for the other two.

Some of them are designed to test for paranoia, which this one might be getting at...

... but I wouldn't go extreme in either direction on this one.

    IMO

Would you like one of us to come hold your hand during the whole process? Not that we will.....

You won't get spoon-fed during the academy, or on the job.

LOL! If you look at another thread xstalkrx posted about this subject, he was flat-out asking if anyone had acess to an "answer key" for the personality questions! Something has to be loose in xstalkrx's cranium! Maybe he got those clippers too close when he was obssesing over shaving his head.

Yeah I saw that. I can't remember his age, but I swear it seems like a teenager is writing his questions.
