    Amen.

And a bunch of the RINOs paid the price in Nov and more will in 2010.

Few in Kansas are going to miss Sebelius as she bails out of the mess she created and slithers into DC. Sam Brownback is a solid conservative with a good shot at the Governor in their next election.

The queers can marry circus in Iowa will turn many dems out office in next state elections in Iowa. Taking back Washington will substantially turn on taking back the Statehouses.

Go figure. A politician lying, who would have known? The sad part is, many on the voting public don't even know the candidates agenda, positions or views. It won't matter. Ever since JFK and the advent of TV in every American household it has become a popularity contest like American Idol. The system is broke

Sorry to disappoint you Georgie old boy, the republicans never had total control. During the six years where they had the White House, the Senate, and the House, the democrats still held enough votes to sustain a filibuster, thus preventing a lot of the legislation from ever getting to a vote. The only ignorance and stupidity is from the liberals who claim we need to go back to the way we did things before Reagan.

This was sent to me and it makes a lot of sense. Of course the Obamacrats ( I like that) will attack the messenger and not the message, hence I'm telling who sent it.

You know what really irritates me about liberals?
They always think liberalism fixes the problem -- even when it was liberalism that caused the problem in the first place!
Case in point, the Financial Meltdown of 2008 (and counting). To hear liberals tell it, it all goes back to Ronald Reagan -- who with his seductive "B-actor" charm fooled America into thinking that by slashing taxes, regulation, and government spending we could unleash free enterprise and create a new wave of prosperity.
Sure, liberals concede, that seemed to work for, oh, the better part of three decades, but now we're paying the price for all that "greed." The solution? A return to the pre-Reagan policies of Jimmy Carter, LBJ, FDR... Speaking of which, what will victory look like in the "War on Poverty"? When are they going to produce an "exit strategy" from that quagmire?
Unfortunately, the facts -- as always when you're talking about liberal theories -- tell a different story. A story in which all the major villains, it turns out, have one thing in common: government.
That's right. From the "Community Reinvestment Act" that pressured banks into affirmative-action lending, to those "government-sponsored enterprises" Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac -- who bought up all the resulting subprime loans and repackaged them as "investment grade" securities -- the greasy thumb-prints of government were all over this fiasco from beginning to end.
But those, as I say, are facts. And facts have no place in the fantasy world of Democratic policy-makers. Nor does history -- true history, that is, as opposed to the public-school propaganda that teaches, for instance, that FDR's New Deal got us out of the Great Depression, when in reality it only deepened and prolonged it.
But the question remains: What can those of us in the fast-dwindling, Reality-Based Community do to survive financially as the Obamacrats prepare a "New New Deal" that threatens to outspend the original by about ten thousand to one?

If you recall, they only had a 1 vote majority in the Senate, that is not enough to end a filibuster, hence the lack of total control. If you had paid attention in civics class you would have known that.

Check out the big brain on idiotboy. They still had majorities and they still had the right to enforce filibuster rules which occurred rarely.

With majorities, the GOP held all the leadership positions which means they controlled the agenda on what legislation was considered and what wasn't.

    Sorry idiotboy, you lose again.

Yes, they determined what legislation made it to the floor, but they did not control what legislation went to the president for signature. The senate still needs to get 60 votes to end a filibuster or invoke cloture. So while they had a majority they did not have control to push through anything and everything.

Having that kind of power is scary and should frighten anyone. We are about to enter into an era of dictatorship and tyranny as the democrats will have absolute control over both houses and the presidents seat. You will witness all kinds of legislation form the democrats that should never be passed and good legitimate legislation coming from republicans that won't pass, all in the name of partisan politics.

Think of how angry people must be with republicans to give so much power to one group. That is a testament to their failings to prove their policy is the better of the two.

Your last statement is laughable and doesn't deserve comment. Par for the course.

Numerous Dems have switched to the GOP. No one seemed to care when that happened.

Now all of a sudden it's a big deal.

Wow. The commie word. No surprises. FWIW, the GOP didn't accuse Specter of defecting when he switched registration back in the 60's.

I bet they wouldn't allow him back in if he changed his mind today and decided to flip back. It's a hypothetical so I don't expect an answer.

I notice our resident StupidClown has no comment on these facts. I wonder why??? That reality sure does get in the way of the liberal/socialist agenda.

Because those "facts" are either very slanted or completely bogus.

Why comment on something that allows you to continue your desire to be thought incredibly stupid.

The President's first official act is to order the close of Gitmo and make sure terrorists civil rights are not violated.

    (He screwed up!!)

    2. The U.S. Congress rushes to confirm a black Attorney General, Eric Holder, whose law firm we later find out represents seventeen Gitmo Terrorists. (An honest mistake!)

    3. The CIA Boss appointee, Leon Panetta, has absolutely no experience,
has a daughter Linda we find out, who is a true radical anti-American activist and a supporter of all the Anti-American regimes in the western hemisphere. (There were socio-economic factors involved!)

    4. We got the most corrupt female in America as Secretary of State; bought and paid for. (You can put lipstick on a pig, but it will still have cankles!)

    5. We got a Tax Cheat for Treasury Secretary who files his own taxes. (He misspoke!)

    6. A Commerce Secretary nominee who withdrew due to corruption charges. (Another honest mistake???)

    7. A Tax cheat nominee for Chief Performance Officer who withdrew under charges. (Hmmm... another screw-up?)

    8. A Labor Sec'y nominee who withdrew under charges of unethical conduct. (Ok, maybe this person was just plain stupid)

    9. A Sec'y HHS nominee who withdrew under charges of cheating on his taxes. Now the Gov. of Kansas has been nominated but has $7,000 in back taxes to clean up.

(I'm running out of excuses for these idiots!!)

    10. Multiple appointments of former lobbyists after an absolute campaign statement that no Lobbyists would be appointed.

    11. Last but not least, we tell all of our enemies... don't worry, if you are imprisoned by US authorities or military after you bomb and kill us... we will treat you nice, we won't torture you...

    12. I complained a lot and often about Geoarge W. Bush, but on my! I'd gladly trade him for B.O.!

    Dear God,
I need a drink! America is being run by the modern-day Three Stooges ~ Barrack, Nancy, and Hilary ~ and they are still trying to define stimulus..." it's spending"... .

The congress passes the $800,000,000, 000 (that's $800 billion) pork loaded spending bill where the government gives you a smidgen of your tax dollars ($13 per week) making you feel so good about yourself [stimulated] that you want to run out to Wal-Mart and buy a new Chinese-made HDTV and go home and watch Telemundo!

Only in America, what a country... Folks, there is only one way to say it. . . We are lost!

Here's the good news though... Obama took Air Force One to Denver to sign the stimulus package, wasting as much as 10,000 gallons of fuel.

He also took Air Force One over NYC today and panicked the place...no warning.

Don't you just love this guy?

Not too many are accusing of defecting now. I have to give him a little credit for being so transparent that it was obvious he switched to save his political ***.
