Hello,

I'm inquiring about the CALFIRE FAE/Paramedic hiring process.

I ranked 11. I currently work full time as a firefighter/paramedic, and I enjoy my job -- and I will be taking a pay cut to switch over to CALFIRE, but I want to because I believe that it will provide me a better experience throughout my career.

So, that means that inquiring and politicing in my local area is out of the question, as I don't want to alert my agency that I might be looking elsewhere.

How do you find out what rank they're hiring from -- furthermore, does anyone know what ranks they're down into? I hear they clear the list every time, which is exciting -- but I can't be sure that's true with the state of our economy, does anyone know this specifically?
