Apparatus Headsets

Has anyone had any experience, positive or negative, with applying for AFG funding towards apparatus headsets (eg. FireCom)? Plan on working on grant this weekend and was hoping for a little insight.

I applied last year and made it to the last round of DJ's.

I know they have been funded. A friend of mine was awarded in 2007

Had that part cut out from our award last year. Call to find out why it was cut and was told that I did not explain it clear enough. Mark sure you list every truck and how each one is going to work. Ex. engine 1 will be a 6 man 7 position system, the driver and officer will be able to talk to dispatch as well as the crew, the crew will be on a intercom only. The driver will be able to exit the truck with headset and plug in at the pump panel. This will give proper hearing protection and good commucations at all time with everyone in the engine. Or something to that effect. Hope this helps and good luck.

I'm including headseats within a regional radio communications application. They are less expensive than a 6 radio charging bank. Hoping that all get approved of course.
