Our Fire Department is an EMT B non transport BLS service that responds to EMS calls in our community and cares for the patients until the ILS service from another town arrives to take over care. Will the AFG grant program fund 12 lead Monitors with all the bells and whistles like co and O2 Sat and BP and the rest, or do we have to be an ALS department to do so. Other BLS agencies within our area are allowed to use these same units on their rigs. Does AFG only recognize ILS or ALS for this type of equipment. any information would be appreciated. We are looking at upgrading to ILS in the near future.
