How many in the aerial bucket?
How many FFs does your dept require to be in the bucket when running an elevated master stream? I've heard some go with two and some only require one. What's the general census?

If your platform is certified at 1,000 pounds, two fully dressed, in PPE, members may weigh 400 to 500 pounds. If they should have to pluck off other members from a roof or a civilian or two you don't want four members in the platform right at the 1000 pound limit.Stay Safe and Well Out There....

What's an aerial?Chief Dwayne LeBlanc
Paincourtville Volunteer Fire Department
"I have a dream. It's not a big dream, it's just a little dream. My dream — and I hope you don't find this too crazy — is that I would like the people of this community to feel that if, God forbid, there were a fire, calling the fire department would actually be a wise thing to do. You can't have people, if their houses are burning down, saying, 'Whatever you do, don't call the fire department!' That would be bad."
