Default How many in the aerial bucket?

How many FFs does your dept require to be in the bucket when running an elevated master stream? I've heard some go with two and some only require one. What's the general census?

It depends on the weight of the members and the apparatus makers certification for the weight for the platform (bucket). Normally two members with complete PPE are operating in the platform.

If your platform is certified at 1,000 pounds, two fully dressed, in PPE, members may weigh 400 to 500 pounds. If they should have to pluck off other members from a roof or a civilian or two you don't want four members in the platform right at the 1000 pound limit.

"I have a dream. It's not a big dream, it's just a little dream. My dream and I hope you don't find this too crazy is that I would like the people of this community to feel that if, God forbid, there were a fire, calling the fire department would actually be a wise thing to do. You can't have people, if their houses are burning down, saying, 'Whatever you do, don't call the fire department!' That would be bad."

It's a multi-dimensional hover craft that allows you to view in 360 degrees, with comfort, all the action! DOH!

    It's more so of a regulation/apparatus specifications.
