    Default Call Volume clarification

Anybody get a clarification on what numbers they want here?

from the last section of "Department Call Volume"

"In a particular year, how many times does your organization receive mutual/automatic aid? "

"In a particular year, how many times does your organization provide mutual/automatic aid? (Please indicate the number of times your department provides or receives mutual aid. Do not include first-due responses claimed above.) "

What is a "first-due response claimed above"?

these questions are clear until the portion in paranthesis,

    thanks for any help.

The responses in the data portion of the "Department Call Volume" should be in your primary district only. Anytime you are providing mutual or automatic aid, those numbers go at the bottom.

i.e. 1 Working Structure Fire in your primary district
i.e. 2 Assists on Structure Fires to neighboring departments

Do not list 3 Working Structure Fires.

I need to know how to list ems assists in our responses on the application. We get called for a lot of "lift assists" and "landing zones". There have been occassions where we perform first aid, cpr, and collar/boarding patients due to the inability of our ambulance service to get a crew. Should I list these calls as EMS-BLS calls or service calls? Thanks for the help.

Any time we have gone on a "lift assist" and it becomes a medical it's changed to a medical call. I would list it as a BLS call. The only time we would have a helicopter is for a medical incident and would be classified as such.

Even if we have no way of transport? Just making absolutely sure. Thanks Bugle.

We do not transport and have about 700 EMS calls a year which is reflected under the BLS response in the application.
