Southern Illinois Storm
Had a bad storm here Yesterday, I know Carbondale Airport clocked 106 MPH winds. Here at our airport I know they seen at least 80 MPH winds. I was out on a call when it hit and it was no fun. I heard over 70,000 people with out power. I am on shift so luckly I have power. The Marion, Carbondale area got hit very hard. I will be getting some pictures posted later. LOTS of damage in the area going to be some time for full recovery here let alone just getting power back to people.

I heard about the storm on the radio yesterday, but they didn't say where it was, just "mid-west" states. I believe there were 4 deaths attributed to the storm.
Glad you came through safe and sound.September 11th - Never Forget
I respect firefighters and emergency workers worldwide. Thank you for what you do.

I didn't even know it happened until I heard our MABAS generator and light tower heading to Johnston City that evening (was in St. Louis on school field trip with daughter). Was rough going down in Jackson, Williamson, Franklin, etc counties.
