7 Pa. ACORN workers charged in voter probe
Acorn Charged in Voter Registration Fraud Case in NevadaPITTSBURGH (AP) — Seven Pittsburgh-area ACORN workers were charged with falsifying voter registration forms, with six accused of doing so to meet the group's alleged quota system before last year's general election.
District Attorney Stephen Zappala Jr. said he's hoping the workers charged Thursday will help authorities determine whether Allegheny County ACORN officials will be charged with requiring the illegal quotas or otherwise directing that voter registrations be faked.
"You should consider the investigation as ongoing," Zappala said.
Six suspects forged a total of 51 cards, a felony that carries up to seven years in prison. The same six also were charged with illegally accepting payments to meet a quota of 20 registrations per day — a misdemeanor punishable by up to a year in jail.
The one defendant not charged with either of those crimes told police he filled out at least 100 voter registration cards in his own name, even though he was already registered and knew it was illegal. He's charged with misdemeanor counts of obstructing and interfering with the elections process, as are several of the others.
Zappala said investigators targeted 100 local ACORN canvassers after county elections officials started noticing dozens of possibly forged registration forms in August. ACORN registered 38,000 new voters in southwestern Pennsylvania, including about 33,600 in the county last year, Zappala said.
LAS VEGAS — A prominent antipoverty organization that drew criticism from Republicans during last year’s presidential race was charged by Nevada officials Monday with engaging in voter registration fraud.
Two former leaders of the group’s Nevada branch were also charged in connection with the submission of thousands of bogus voter registration forms.
The organization, the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, or Acorn, is accused of paying canvassers only if they registered at least 20 voters per shift and providing bonuses of $5 for registering more than 21.
Under Nevada law, it is illegal to attach incentives to such work, in part because it encourages canvassers to submit fraudulent forms, Secretary of State Ross Miller said.
Acorn submitted 91,002 completed forms in Clark County, which includes Las Vegas, of which 23,186 turned out to be valid new voters who voted in November, according to data provided by Mr. Miller’s office.
How come we aren't hearing more of this from the MSM? Further proof they are leftist supporting communism.

What level of cognitive dissonance does it take to equate a bunch of people forging instruments to meet a quota with communism?

People forging registration cards to try to make money = mainstream media coverup = FEMA death camps = Das Kapital = Obama = New World Order

Idiot...it was not voter fraud. These guys were just trying to make a buck by violating policies. A few people registering dead people and cartoon characters who didn't even vote? Come on; you are so yesterday.

Registration fraud is not the same as voter fraud. There isn't any evidence I've seen that the fake names used to boost the workers pay led to any actual voter fraud. They may have registered, but they didn't show up to vote.It was voter fraud.

There's no evidence of that. Did Charlie Brown and Bullwinkle show up and vote? Do you actually think that the margin of Obama's victory had anything to do with a handful of greedy employees trying to make a buck registering people who didn't even exist? Come on.And is it legal to register dead people and cartoon characters to vote? What if that was the way Obama actually pulled off the election?Would you still want a cheat like that in the Oval Office?

The actions of a few people trying to make a buck by breaking the rules set by the organization itself says nothing about the organization. Your molehill into mountain tactic is quite lame and pretty pathetic.Nope, it just says something about the ethics and morals of an Organization set up and sponsored but King Obama.
Is that all you guys have left? Except for the "Obama is not an American" bull****? Sad.

Seems the ACORN defenders need a cold drink to help "wash it down" after the recent revelations.
The American people will never knowingly adopt Socialism. But under the name of 'liberalism' they will adopt every fragment of the Socialist program, until one day America will be a Socialist nation, without knowing how it happened. --Norman Mattoon Thomas, 6 time presidential candidate for the Socialist Party of America
