Does anyone have info regarding the implementation of an EMD system (in this case it would be used in a small town that has one dispatcher/call taker for pd and fire)

1) What are the pros and cons of different systems? I am only familiar with APCO

2) What are the initial and maintenance costs per system?

3) Is a consultant required for initial installation or can you just buy the cards?
