Where can I get information on the reciprocity of these? I currently have IFSTA certification and am applying to a state that requires IFSAC certs. Any information would be appreciated!

I don't know about reciprocity with certain states, but I ran into a similar issue when I was applying for overseas work. I only had the Oregon NFPA certs and needed IFSAC. I ended up flying out to Pennsylvania and challenging for IFSAC certs through Bucks County Community College. It was just like taking the certification tests here. (I actually thought they were easier and weren't at quite the skill level as some schools out here, but that's a different topic
) Two days of written tests and practicals, and I walked out with IFSAC certs in hand.
Hope that helps. I know its a lot of trouble to go through, but its an option for you at least!

Ifsac
Hey guys
There is no such thing as IFSTA or IFSAC certifications.
IFSTA provides the books to states and provinces for firefighters to use in class.
IFSAC accredits the state training director's state or province. Once accredit, the state or province certifies the firefighter and you get a IFSAC seal saying your state or province is accredited in the area you received your certification. Think about a college getting accredited by SACS, an accrediting body. Your certification doesn't say you're certified by SACS, it says you're certified by the state or province.
If you want a list of states and provinces that offer IFSAC accreditation, go to www.ifsac.org and click on the left side under Certificate Members.
Hope this helps.
