I know someone who was just called last week and starts March 14th. You heard correct. Anyone else out there that hasn't heard anything since their polygraph?

Called downtown today. No dates yet for when the next hiring might be after the March 14th one. If you passed the polygraph your on file for possible hire. If you don't get selected for a new hire class your eligibility will expire one year from when you received your eligibility notice. Then you must reapply and start the process over again...soooo it could be a longer than expected wait for some folks.
Congrats to the 15 who got hired today!
Does anyone know how long the orientation class is for Tampa Fire?
They do a 4-week orientation class. It's pretty easy from what I hear. One week of paperwork/orientation to TFR, one week of EMS, and the rest fire.
Anyone have an idea when the next hiring period might be?
Sulu check PM's bro.
Woohoo!! Tampa fire!!! :d
I'm one of the folks who took the polygraph in Oct. any word on when or if we will receive a eligibility letter? I called downtown about a week ago but the woman i spoke to wasn't very informative. she said our app expires 1 year after the PAT we took. I hate being left in the dark.
thanks
they don't give one. When you take your poly test and pass it, then you are placed onto an eligibility list and given a conditional job offer pending passing the medical exam. You won't be notified of that either! You're only told that when you take the psych exam! Upon passing the poly, you are eligible for hire pending the psych and medical. That eligibility is for one year from when you took the poly. That's according to what the acting personnel chief said to us when we took our psych....
Heard a rumor the other day that Tampa is starting a new list in the next month or two, any truth to this? I know they had a list started in August.
Who knows. They're going to CPAT sometime this month, with this March class possibly being the last of the old list. Might be one more class from it due to the transition period, but don't count on it. Keep looking at the national testing network website and apply when it opens.
I think it's already switched over:

edit: i stand corrected - already if not in progress.
