I got a 70. I called HR and asked how I got that score and she told me it was my "education level" you either get a 70 if you have only highschool or a 90 if you have a college degree.

Nope....hoping they are just busy with the RNC. I know a class just graduated.
Hey I called yesterday and thats what I was told. Human resources said they've been busy with the RNC and haven't even looked at the applicants. She said we should hear something in September.
Hey guys just recieved my background packet today in my email!!! It's only about 21 pages long.
If you don't mind me asking Leatherhead3, what scores did you get on your Fireteam? Hopefully I hear something soon also.
No problem on the human relations, mechanical, and reading I scored around 81 and scored around 96 on math. The deadline to turn in the background packet is oct 5th so you'll probably hear something soon. Goodluck!!!Quote:

You've read wrong my friend. It seems to be different every time but I've heard anywhere from months to a year from this point. Just get your packet in as quickly as possible, don't wait until the last minute.Quote:

Just curious did anyone here also apply for and turn in the PHQ and application packet for St. Petersburg Fire?? and if so have you heard anything back from them??
I did not, I didn't apply as it never changed from building an eligibility list to hiring so I assumed that they were not ready to hire yet. Wish I had applied now that they are actively hiring. I believe a guy that works at my current department did apply, I will see if I can find anything out about it if you would like.
