I know Tampa hired a bunch of people in Oct. Was wondering if they are going to open up hiring again in spring time.

Their recent Academy just graduated on Tuesday or Wednesday. Through the grapevine I heard that they won't be hiring again until at least February or March. I know they were accepting applications back in September/October, but I don't know if or when they're going to open it back up. It sucks, cause Tampa is in my top 3 departments.

Had a chief's interview on 11/06, does anyone know the wait time til you hear something back from tfd? was ayone one here interviewed that the day as well ?

I had a Chief's interview on Nov 6th and have not heard anything yet, should i be concerned, or is this a normal time frame for tampa?

I guess Tampa is going off a previous list. I was wondering if they would be opening up for new applicants in the spring time. I had to miss the last hiring portion so I was hoping for something in the spring time. Any word on this?

what mine said was they would like to do one within the 3rd or 4th week of feb. so im guessing early march maybe

Took the PAT on Wednesday and the next step is a background investigation, then praying for a call for an interview .

A buddy of mine tested too and said he went over the allotted time on an event by a few seconds and still passed. Anyone know how they score it?

Why set a time if they aren't going to enforce it? Not fair to the applicants who "really passed" the PAT.

Yeah, i hear ya. It is just so competitive out there that i think that it is only fair to stick by the rules. I don't wish failure on anyone.

Just had my chief's interview on June 7th. Has anyone heard anything about when they might be hiring. The only thing I heard was..they just got their July class the next class is in Sep or Oct??

Small class starting orientation in July, with a larger class starting in Sept/Oct.
