    Exclamation Baltimore City

I got some questions about the BCFD, as I want to work there someday. I guess I'll give a little background about myself first. I'm an Air Force medical technician and a Vollie FF/EMT in Florida. I have my minimum standards and will be starting for my Paramedic this month. I'm also hoping to become a live-in in PG county when I get out of the Air Force. So my questions are this: When is BCFD's next test gonna be, and how often does BCFD hire. Do they have vet points, and will my previous fire/EMS training be of any help when I apply? I heard one guy say that they were testing this year, and another guy said it will be next year. Which is it? Thanks in advance.

As far as I know, they will be accepting applications from June 8 - June 19 and I'm pretty sure they need to be picked up and handed in in person.

Yes my guess is that they should be testing within a few months after the application deadline.

It sucks every where. i live close to philadelphia and their budget is shot. FDNY is looking at layoffs and more station closing. It's scary for me, because im about to graduate from college with a degree in fire science..

I don't know too much about Baltimore City. I would suggest going to www.thewatchdesk.com >Maryland>Baltimore City and posting questions there.

where did you get the info about the applications? I went to their website and couldnt find anything - they directed recruitment questions to the HR department. I went to the HR website and it is not listed an open position at this time. Just curious if these dates are "hear say", or if they are in writing somewhere. thanks a lot!!
