Under the International Residential and Building Code Series (2006) any spray-foam insulation must meet the requirements of ASTM E-84, the minimum standards for flame spread and smoke density indexes. In other words, it can't burn faster than ........ and it can not produce more than ........ amount of smoke. If your jurisdiction has not adopted these as your minimum building codes, I would assume that your codes have something similar.

Fires I have come across involving these products usually involve "trenchcut" like tactics- go ahead of the burned area (by one or two feet) and simply cut it with a knife and remove it in large chunks.

    1. What the hell are you talking about
    2. What exactly is it that you want to know?
    3. You might get more information if you posted this in a sub-forum that wasn't titled "Fire Explorer & Junior Firefighting." (nothing against the juniors in here, but I highly doubt they know about ASTM E-84, or interior firefighting tactics involving the materials mentioned.
