Default Preparation for Swiftwater Rescue Class

I'm taking a Swiftwater Rescue class in about six weeks. Its a pretty intense class; you come out as a Level 1 Technician. I swim very well, but haven't been in the water much in a couple of years. Anybody recommend a training regimen that might help me build up some swimming stamina?
