Does anyone have any information on the hiring process of the Burlington Vermont Fire department? I spoke with a HR person last week and she told me to send in an application and that the testing will occur next spring. I plan on sending in my application this week and I just wanted to get some information on their hiring process as well as some general information about the department. I did a search but it did not turn up much.

I thought there was a residence requirement? but I may be wrong.

They didn't say there was when I called HR and I told her I was from NY.
