Power to the people! Its about time somebody was willing to take the fight all the way! I am proud of these guys. They may not get what they set out for this go round but I think the victory they had in the court room sets an example for deparments everywhere that have been and are sill using other means besides the test results to choose who gets hired and promoted.
I am sure there are plenty of you out there that agree with some "favor points" or "preference points" given to those in the testing process for things such as armed forces service and of course the trump card paramedic certification but to throw out the whole test result because of race or the lack of diversity in the top spots is pushin it! I know tribal departments also give preference to native americans and even more poins to those that are actually members of their own tribe and I believe this too can at times be detrimental to the service that the community the department serves.
