Just curious if anyone is using a rescue swimmer position during operations. For us a rescue swimmer is a member in ppe (swift water type) but not in a full dive set up, we use him as a '"Lifeguard" for the dive operation, he can also shuttle equipment like lift bags, tow cables etc. to the dive location. He is much faster then a diver in gear and doesn't get as tired as a diver swimming on the surface etc. We of course have a safety and 90% diver, this is just an additional position.
The rescue swimmer is also very valuble in the flood water situation. Any experiences or techniques, equipment to share?
