I volunteer on a dept. in Peoria while i'm at school, but since I have a decent paying job (for a college student) I stay up here for the summer. I was told by a friend who is also a nurse that Elgin is hireing part-time. Does anybody have any info on how to get started? It would be greatly appreciated!

According to their website, Elgin is accepting applications for full-time FF. Application deadline is July 17th.
Doesn't Elgin FD have a residency req???
It doesn't mention anything about it in their application packet online. Not 100% sure on that though as I am not there locally. I wasn't aware of it though when I was living there or haven't heard of it from friends and family that are on the surrounding area FDs currently.Quote:
