    Default Breaking news Maine

    At 3:48 7/15/09 the Cowan Mill in Lewiston Maine is fully involved. Third alarm has been struck and multiple companies are operating on scene. Firebrands have set a fire on the roof of nearby Bates Mill #5.More as it comes available.Some limited footage can be seen on NECN. T.C.

    From the footage this was the classic case of the fire burning down to a manageable size. Sounds like the vacant building was not quite devoid of life just prior to the FD arrival as witnesses report teens fleeing the scene.

    We just missed! Move up extended to Norway/Oxford/ South Paris but we got spared.Pretty good footage of the first half hour.Bet it was hot.T.C.

    It doesnt stop there, we also have a peru, mexico, sweden, moscow.

    So. Paris and Oxford are both neighboring departments for me....i was hoping we might get called but since we are a relatively small department we didnt get called. Although they did call out departments from farther away than i am from the scene. The fire was relatively large but it was over in only a few hours. Unfortunately it was a total loss, damn arsonists.
