I will be qualified for a contract job soon, but lack the DoD Awareness and Operations certification. Florida includes this training in Firefighter 2, but Proboard doesn't recognize it. I can get the Florida Tech certification, but it's 160 hours and quite a money investment.
Where can I as a civilian get this DoD cert?
Is the ProBoard applicable? If so, where can I get an online course that qualifies for the ProBoard?
I've tried to search for this in the forums and get 1500 hits. Worthless.

I doubt there is an online Hazmat that covers awareness and operations due to the required skills. I am not familuar with proboard, but an IFSAC Awareness and OPs is 32 hours.

IFSAC should apply. I didn't think there were any skills involved at the awareness and operations level.

Isn't Florida an IFSAC state? If so, DoD (at least they used to, unless if things have changed since I got out 4 years ago) accepted IFSAC credentials.
Look around in here, too...

They had a program working exclusively with the DoD for a while......"Loyalty Above all Else. Except Honor."

I checked IFSAC's accreditation list and didn't see Florida anywhere on it.

Florida hasn't been ProBoard very long and only limited classes. Check out ProBoard.com and you can get the information from there.Depending on what year you went to FF2 will determine if you can get ProBoard or not.

There Is No Such Thing As Dod Certs! There Are Ifsac Certs That One Receives From The Dod. They Have The Ifsac Gold Seal In The Lower Left Hand Corner Of The Cert. If One Gets A Proboard Cert From Any Where Thay Can Receive An Ifsac Cert.
