Test results
Does anyone know how or when we will be notified of our Polk test results?

when i handed in the test the guy told me it could take 2-3 weeks. they need to send the tests out to california to get graded.

I don't recall it taking that long the last time. Good question though. I'll try and find out for sure. I heard that 84 tested out of the 110 applicants, so the odds are improving.

I think i might have been first one done. I had an appointment and had to go fast. I think i still did OK. Anybody beat 40 minutes?
PS and for the girl who was next to me ... did you hear from lake county?? i do a PAT next week.

i took about 2 hours Math was not my best subject in High School. I took the lake county exam as well. It was like if all the questions asked were the non highlighted stuff in my book lol. But oh well now i know not to just go over the highlighted stuff i did in school

They should call in more than the top 15, but I may be wrong. I'm working steady on the four EMS ambulances to fire transfer right now.
We don't do a PAT at this time, just a firefighter physical through our wellness center and a driving / background check.
I think Chief Cash wants us to look at more than 15. He's working on a plan that might increase the number we need slightly.

Thanks again for the updates... What will be the next step in the process? A panel interview type situation?
That's very exciting news about the ALS merger coming to fruition... Would it be beneficial to mention I am nearly completed with medic school if I make it to an interview? I just didn't know if that would help or hurt my chance at the position...
