    Default Classic 1980s FDNY photos

A link to one of the best fire ground photog buffs of the 1980s:

Bronx-Harlem circa 1980s from Michael Dick.

He found a way to caputre images seldom seen.

    FTM-PTB

PS-Chief McParland (seen as Can man in L28) is top shelf.

Great pics! Had the pleasure working around Conrad Tinney of L-28, for a short time at Metro Tech right before he retired, Great person and fireman.

Isn't it funny...some things are totally different and some are exactly the same.
Nice to see history like that.

I'm pretty sure I have met him before. I think he eventually went to the BFM.

Good stuff. I sent the link to a friend @ 133/Lennox who might know some of those faces. Although he'll probably bitch about no pictures of the zoo. I watched the one on 43rd St (next door to R-1) from across the Hudson. Big *** fire.

That was one of the best books written, that contained these photos. The whole series of the truck and engine at the apartment door (you can tell by the tile floor and bannister railing) captures a lot of work. Thanks for sharing.

More than the cigarette, in that picture I noticed the sparkle in the eyes of the firefighter who was hurt and the little grin he had even though he was injured. Like a secret little smile or something.

    Great pictures.

Some a little harder then others to look at.
