Are you talking about an NFIRS client specifically or fire department management software? NFIRS refers just to the incident reporting that you must do with your state and the federal government. However, that is just one element of programs like Firehouse, which also track inventory, training, personnel, etc.

We have been using FirePrograms http://www.fireprograms.com for about 12 years now. Good programs and they provide some of the best customer service I have ever experienced.

coz good point, sorry i didnt clarify that. NFIRS is the baseline that we need obviously to be able to report to the state, however what im lookin for is like best bang for the buck. Which program has the easiest to manage best modules for the price, NFIRS is just the manditory thing the program must do, but any other modules is welcomed just tryin to feel what other people do. Basicly we had the min software to report to the state on the system so we could comply to recieve federal funding.

FirePrograms
FireProgams software. It's very configurable and has modules for NFIRS, personnel, training, mapping and inspections among others. Once you begin to load incidents, personnel and apparatus data, it's easy to use built in reports for personnel stats, run stats, maintenance data. We like how easy it is to configure on the fly and add data fields where we need them. The software can also be loaded onto laptops in the rigs which do not require an internet connection to access data on-scene.

Question on the fire programs, even though it is software based is it also availible on the web. Sounds like a great program what id really like is somtin with the capabilities you explained but have the availibility to upload it to the web similar to the EMS charts were using where i work. Where you have a mobil version which is loaded on to the computer but then you have the online version where you upload it to store the reports on a remote server.

Stay away from VisionFire, VisionCAD, or any other VisionAire product. Nothing has worked the way they said it would, can't "talk" to each other, no compatible EMS software, problems have been endless. $100K down the drain.
