Default Thank you Fallowfield Fire and Rescue, Cochranton Fire Department, and Conneaut Lake

Golden City Volunteer Fire Departments Fire Chief David Schlorer and firefighter Kathy Potts traveled 18 hours up to Atlantic Pa. couple weeks ago to meet firefighters from Fallowfield Fire and Rescue, Cochranton Fire Department, and Conneaut Lake Fire Department. The three fire departments graciously donated their unneeded but still very usable and effective equipment to other fire departments in need. It was enough firefighting equipment to fill a 16 foot box truck. Some of the equipment donated to Golden City VFD included 4” supply hose, a cascade system (equipment to fill the air bottles for air packs), air bottles, turn outs, foam, and lots of other firefighting equipment.
“It was so kind and generous of them to donate not only their equipment but also their time. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel like family. They took us out for dinner, sightseeing at their famous Pynatunin Lake, and even put us up for the night. It was the kindness that you don’t see very much any more. GCVFD, Kathy and I could never thank them enough for all they did for us.”
Any equipment that was donated that GCVFD already has will be given out to other area fire departments in Logan County which are in need of equipment. This is just one more example of the bother/sisterhood that firefighters have, not just close to home but across the county. We are forever grateful to the fire departments and their members

We have a mixed match of SCBA's We have a couple Scott 2.2, A couple ISI's and Fallowfield just donated some MSA's but none of them have masks and i'm not sure what model they are. I know there were made in 1993. Wish we had 6 or 8 of all the same brand. Plus a near by fire department on have 2 SCBA's that meet the 1981 standards the others they have afterfrom the early 70's.
