    Default World Record Fire Truck Parade Attempt Next Saturday

    This is your official invitation to make history by participating in the
    World's Largest Fire Truck
    Parade on August 15th at 11am in Casselton, North Dakota. This parade
    will beat the record
    of 159 fire trucks held by a community in Switzerland. We have over
    100 fire trucks already
    signed up!!! Don't be left on the sidelines!!! Details are available
    on our website,
    www.casscountysummerfest.com.
    Criteria:
    1. Fire truck must travel the entire parade route of 2.2 miles.
    2. Fire truck must have been in service at some point of its career.
    3. Fire truck must have been capable of putting out a fire.

    I wish you best of luck on your parade, I'm sure it'll be a great time for everyone.

    However, the world largest? I have been to many East Coast parades with 200+ rigs in them. Ocean City, MD easily pushes that every single year. Wildwood, NJ comes to mind also.

    200+ rigs but not all meet the criteria. That has been the big problem. We will probably have 250+ apparatus but not all will count.

    Back in 1991, dedication of 2 trucks....our parade vehicle count was 212. No chiefs vehicles and only 2 were out of service trucks.
