    Question Authority of LA

I was wondering can anyone tell me: does the Ladies Auxiliary have the right to ban one of their members from the firehall?

Ummm, I don't know. Why don't you read the organization's bylaws?

I know I might regret this, but what was the outcome of my advice? Just when I thought that Vollytics couldn't get any worse, a member of a Ladies Artillery comes on here and asks about one of their members getting banned....Curiosity is killing me, like a bad train wreck that you can't help but not watch....

Only if he is in charge of a bake sale or cake walk. And then only maybe!!
If he cooks only as good as he says he fights fire, then we might let him wash dishes.

I had departed my volunteer department before they'd formed a Ladies' Auxilliary.(I don't know what the HUSBANDS of female members would join. There's a few that would look just silly in the LA's "uniform".Pink is just not their color.)
I would ***-U-ME that a member of the Ladies Aid,even the Chief's Wife, couldn't exercise any command authority to bar a member entrance to the fire hall unless there was a surprise party in the offing for said member or a bridal/baby/hen party being planned with NO men allowed.
That's about the only reason I can think of for a LA member keeping a firefighter from entering the fire house.Of course, like one member said,it could be situational and you should refer to YOUR department's rules and bylaws.

How the heck are we supposed to know? It's your department, figure it out....There's no national law, codes, or standards governing the authority of a fire department Ladies Auxiliary. Check your bylaws.

"I have a dream. It's not a big dream, it's just a little dream. My dream — and I hope you don't find this too crazy — is that I would like the people of this community to feel that if, God forbid, there were a fire, calling the fire department would actually be a wise thing to do. You can't have people, if their houses are burning down, saying, 'Whatever you do, don't call the fire department!' That would be bad."

Can the LA have pink lights on their car and respond to scene POV?

I might regret this, but what was the outcome of my advice? Just when I thought that Vollytics couldn't get any worse, a member of a Ladies Artillery comes on here and asks about one of their members getting banned.
