Are there any departments that have a policy prohibiting the disclosure of company business to non-members? If so, how do you monitor, or set policy, for members to not post on internet applications, blogs, chats, etc? Any suggestions?

we dont have a written sop on it, but it is an unwritten rule that our business stays in the department, mainly becuase we our a non-profit volunteer depratment and the public knowing what our financial status and other department actions are might hurt our donations. Again, it is understood that a first time offense will be a talk with the chief, second offense is suspension for 90 days, 3rd time you are let go from the department for 180 days and then you can reapply for membership and be voted back in if you so choose.
Puttin the wet stuff on the red stuff!
