    Does anybody know anything about the Harrisburg recruiting process? Do they have any type of residency requirement?

    You must move inside city limits within 6 months after your date of hire.

    Do you know what kind of written exam they use, is it a general knowledge exam or do they send you a study guide of what they will test you know?Also, does anybody know how quickly there hiring process is? And any information about the department would be greatly appreciated. For example, how busy they are, if their firefighters are also emt's...

    There is a Battalion Chief and a few guys that are on the job in Harrisburg that have been extremely helpful in answering any and all questions about the department.
