Yup, watching it on CNN now. Kind of boring though so back to the racing.
P.S., for the rest of the country what the hell is a 10-60?

Mid-air collision over Hudson River near Hoboken
by Julie O'Connor/The Star-Ledger
Saturday August 08, 2009, 2:04 PM
HUDSON RIVER -- A sightseeing tour helicopter and a small plane collided mid-air just after noon over the Hudson River between Manhattan and New Jersey, police said.
The Coast Guard said one person had been rescued and New York City Fire Department officials on the scene said there appear to have been fatalities.
John Munson/The Star-Ledger
Search and rescue teams from various New York and New Jersey agencies search the Hudson River after a helicopter and airplane collided.
The plane, a Piper PA-32, took off from Teterboro Airport in New Jersey, and the helicopter was a Eurocopter AS 350 owned by Liberty Tours, a sightseeing and charter company, Federal Aviation Administration officials said. Officials don't know how many people were aboard the plane, but FAA spokesman Jim Peters said there may have been five passengers and one crew member aboard the helicopter.
Emergency crews are on both sides of the river and police divers are going into the water.
People who saw the crash and its aftermath described the two aircraft colliding not far from the Hoboken shoreline, and said the impact sheared off the plane's wing.Last edited by len1582; 08-08-2009 at 02:28 PM.

It appears that mayor Mike Bloomberg is reporting that the crash was "not survivable" and that there were no survivors.

My sympathy goes out to the families, and even more so as it was said a child was involved.
