    Question Dodge 4500-5500 Cummins PTO Pump

    So here is my question. Can I drive a Waterous CPK-2 300 gpm fire pump with the Dodge 4500 and 5500 chassis utilizing the Cummins motor? Can I do this pump and roll, 2wd, 4wd, or both? Below is a link to the spec sheet for the fire pump I have.

    First you need to find out what tranny is installed, and whether it is PTO capable.

    FM1

    Talk to a couple apparatus mfg. Not the tiny guys that will slap anything together but midsize that actually do some engineering.

    There are some that are using the Dodge (or former Sterling).
