Default Nepotism/Taking care of your buddy

WTF is with all the nepotism/take care of your buddy going on in the Federal service? Trying to transfer, but I'm not an asskisser, and I'm not in the "IN" crowd. Just a fireman trying to change my place of employment.

There are a few sites that are just so blatantly obvious, it's pathetic!!

Won't name the base, but it's between VA & MD. Homepage talks about how we just hired ***, who just happens to be XXX's brother, and oh yeah, he is also YYY's brother-in-law.

WTF happened to trying your best to get the certs and train hard??

Do I stoop so low as to start asskissing or what???

A Fire Chief has ONLY 1 JOB and that's to take care of his fireman. EVERYTHING else falls under this.

    Default Hired

Just because *** was XXX's brother and YYY's brother in-law was he the most qualified???? If the answer is yes......then what's the problem. If he was not then...Houston....We have a problem!!!
